Connect the PL7400 to an electrical outlet before connecting the USB cord to your supported MikroTik device. When you perform the same thing with another PWR-LINE-compliant device someplace else on your premises, the devices will form a 100Mbit (max) connection without the need for any LAN cables to be installed.
